This time the rain came in multiple side of the home. The wall were running water around windows and doors - furniture and carpet damaged. Fleetwood's response - "We fixed it every-time you called. Now it's out of warranty." We too made the mistake of paying cash so they have all their money and here we sit.

They guarantee that their mobile homes are free from defects in material or construction, insofar as their structural components are concerned. Not real happy starting to make our community look like another trailer park, instead of a community. They promise a 400$ bonus the day they switch you over to the company. They rotate temps out to prevent having to pay that bonus. Made in America used to mean something but this company doesn’t care about building standards. They pay HUD inspectors “bonuses” to look the other way on these houses.

The more affordable homes will have recycled vinyl siding instead of virgin and lower pitch. Shingles are one of those products where one little error can completely ruin the entire product. You should be able to file against the warranty and recoup some of the replacement cost if you are willing to maneuver through all the red tape. You listed Clayton Homes as #2 of the best.

Because at Fleetwood Homes, delivering forward-thinking houses is what we do. I own a 2003 Cavco double wide that I purchased in 2013. I guess my biggest complaints about the home are the cheap windows, the fiberglass tub, the lack of storage space/closets, and large holes the manufacturer left around the water lines, etc. The holes have allowed critters to get into my home. Once they were sealed I haven’t had a problem.
